Digging has been a part of his life for over 20 years…
As either an archaeologist or experienced private investigator,
he spends time digging into the lives of people, past and present.
As an archaeologist, Frank Owens spends most of his free time researching and excavating forgotten historical sites. Digging has been a part of his life for over 20 years. Even as an experienced private investigator, he spends his time digging into the lives of people, past and present. Cases of missing people require him to research and investigate phone and police records. It also requires him to talk to anyone who might have knowledge or helpful information about the missing person or the case in general. Most of the domestic cases that he handles are mundane; however, they can get tricky if caught between the object being the wife and the subject being the husband. Murder cases are challenging to Frank, especially high profile cases that involve the science of forensic expertise, such as facial reconstruction.
The type of digging Mr. Owens enjoys most is with a trowel and shovel. Southern Maryland is truly a treasure trove of history. Some new adventure in archaeology waiting to be discovered is always a possibility. Over the years, his digs have uncovered everything from cannon balls and bullets in a civil war battlefield to Nazi artifacts from a forgotten Prisoner of War (POW) camp. He discovered the escape route of John Wilkes Booth, an area where Booth and David Herold passed just before their escape across to Virginia. The artifacts at this site were astounding such as the recovery of the Booth pistol and watch with the name “John W. Booth 1865”.
A very special time came when he went on an expedition to Eastern Turkey to locate the ark of Noah situated on Mt. Ararat, a 17,000-foot high mountain that was bordered by Turkey, Russia, and Iran. On one occasion, he found a tunnel under a church that led to a river that had once had been part of the Underground Railroad. One of Frank’s more recent finds was a creek bed that yielded petrified skeletal material from a whale that had been buried for over 65 million years (Miocene period).
In the private investigation field, his work has been just as impressive. Recent work includes the piercing the shroud of secrecy surrounding the testing of secret weapons that endanger aircraft in one of the busiest flightways in the nation. at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland, Mr. Owens broke up a spy ring that was selling nuclear codes to China and SCUD missile trajectories to Saddam. He has also been involved with some high profile muder cases around the nation.
Currently his case load includes Ron Brown’s death and the independent investigation of the Crash Of TWA Flight 800 with Chris Fidis of New York. Frank has made joint public statements with Chris Fidis supporting mechanical as well as new evidence pointing to to actual military involvement being very well hidden from the general public. Chris was responsible for the 1992 breakup and capture of the cybercriminals who broke into the Baltimore Telephone Company switch facility and stole credit card information being passed via voice mail systems around the country. Chris has been very instrumental with the Flight 800 investigation.
With an action-packed background like that…
this is sure to be one interesting night!
